The 2008 Ford Shelby GT Deluxe carries on the long-running association between the Mustang and Carroll Shelby, the racing legend and automotive designer linked to Ford since the late 1950s and early '60s, when he used Ford engines in his Shelby Cobras. This is one of only 100 Mustangs produced of this type so you will truly be owning a limited edition!This Shelby GT Deluxe features a 319-horsepower, 4.6-liter, 8 cylinder, which links to a smooth shifting five-speed manual transmission, performance-tuned suspension, and 17-inch machined aluminum wheels. In keeping with its status as a unique super-car in Ford's stable that's a step above the standard Mustang, the Shelby comes equipped a number of unique features, including unique front and rear fascia treatments that give the car a more hunkered-down, muscular appearance. The Le Mans-style over-the-top racing stripe also help set the car apart from its Mustang brethren.The 2008 Shelby GT Deluxe gets special treatment inside as well. Features include unique sport bucket seats, and a rockin' AM/FM stereo system with CD player and an auxillary input jack.As you might expect, mileage for this Mustang won't break any records as it hovers somewhere around 23 mpg on the highway, but fuel efficiency isn't the goal here and the magazines say it tops out near 200mph.
